Our Beginning

The WARPS R/C Club was founded in 1976 by Mr. Pedro Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez is recognized as the pioneer of radio-controlled flying models in our area. His efforts in teaching all aspects of the hobby helped modelers have a complete understanding of building, flying and maintaining your model as a total flying experience. Our current flying site located within the St. Mary Parish Landfill in Berwick, La. has been designated as “Pedro Hernandez Field” and is the home site of the WARPS R/C Club.

What We Do

The WARPS R/C Club consist of members who fly all types of model aircraft. Planes, jets, helicopters, drones and gliders of all styles and more. Our members are fellow pilots who are will to share their knowledge and years of experience and also offer a helping hand if needed if you’d like to learn how to fly r/c. The world of remote control can be a relaxing and educational experience. If you’d like to learn how to fly r/c, WARPS R/C can help you become the remote control pilot you’d like to become.
